Well, all the speculations were right on target and I was completely wrong about my estimations for the D800. Being primarily a low-light shooter I was really hoping for a real replacement for the D700 so I'm a little disappointed in the D800, but in sensor only.
There's definitely a lot of good feature upgrades on the D800, but I have no doubt that the D700 will continue to be be my main workhorse. The D300s will be headed to the auction block and the only DX camera I'll have left is the D2H which I still use for my web-based assignments.
Anyway, I'll delve into this subject a little deeper tomorrow. In the meantime here's some D800 porn to drool over...
